You could be paying too much for your young driver’s insurance policy if you don’t know what to do. Teenagers and young adults pay the highest insurance premiums of all drivers. It doesn’t have this to be. Follow my step-by-step plan and I can almost guarantee that you will pay the lowest rate possible for your auto insurance policy.
Step by Step Plan To Find The Cheapest Young Drivers’ Insurance Policy:
Step 1: Take out approximately 30 minutes. In the past, the best way to find the most affordable car insurance was to drive from one insurance agency to another or spend hours calling one agent by phone. The internet has revolutionized the way we do business. The internet has drastically reduced the time it takes to research. You only need to set aside 30 minutes each day for a task that can save you hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.
Step 2: Open any word processor (such as Notepad or Word), and enter all the information about yourself and the vehicle you wish to insure. Information about you would include your full name, address and phone number. Information about your vehicle could include make, year, VIN and mileage. This is important. You will be required to quickly fill out online applications later in the plan. You don’t have to type your information again. Instead, copy and paste your information to speed up the process.
Step 3: Enter all discounts. Insurance for young drivers is expensive. This is because younger drivers are more likely to be involved in car accidents, which can result in higher insurance premiums. If you prove to an auto insurance company that your driving record is better than the average, they may be willing to give you a discount on your policy. These are some things that may qualify you to receive a price cut:
– Good grades in school (often just a B average will get you a discount). – Passing a driver’s education course (this course is mandatory for all drivers younger than 25 and can often get you a 10-15% discount on your premium) – The savings in auto insurance should more than cover the cost of the course.
Any additional safety features your vehicle may have (e.g. automatic seat belts, side airbags, etc).
– Any additional anti-theft features that your vehicle may have (ie. car alarm, “Lo-Jack” system, etc).
Step 4: Search online for auto insurance providers. These are generally not the insurance companies. These are companies who have connections with multiple auto insurance providers. This is an important step in finding the best young driver insurance. It will reduce the time required. Instead of visiting each auto insurance site individually, you can simply go to one of the insurance quote providers and copy and paste your information to get a list of 3-10 personalized quotations within minutes. These quotes are absolutely free!
Don’t stop at one of these providers for insurance quotes. Different providers may have different relationships with auto insurance companies. To get the best insurance quotes for you, visit at least two insurance quote providers.
Step #5 Compare all your quotes and choose the best. Although this is the most affordable quote, many insurance companies offer additional benefits and coverages for their clients. Make sure you carefully review each quote.
Step #6 – Change your auto insurance policy. If you follow all the steps above, chances are you’ll have at least a few insurance quotes that are better for your financial situation than the young driver insurance you have. The internet makes it easy to compare car insurance quotes and switch insurance policies. You don’t even need to speak to an agent in most cases. You can cancel an existing policy, purchase a new one, and print all necessary documents from your computer.
Follow my step-by-step plan and you will no longer need to make high monthly payments for a young driver’s insurance policy. You can almost guarantee that you will find the best car insurance policy if you have access to the internet, a computer and 30 minutes.
