How To Get The Best Deal On Auto Insurance

CONSERVE YOUR MONEY DON’T PAY TOO MUCH AUTO INSURANCE

Every 6 months, we buy auto insurance. Over the years, I have always looked around. I’ve saved a lot by calling different insurance companies and picking up the phone. These simple steps will help you save money!

First, I contact my broker. They work with several different auto insurance companies. They already have my information. They gladly compare their insurance providers to find the best deal.

Second, I obtain my car insurance papers. This is the best way for you to compare apples with apples. I can either access the phonebook online or open it up in my phone book to find a list of companies I’d like to visit. I tend to choose the most well-known companies first. I compare the prices by calling. I ask for the breakdown prices and the different deductibles.

Many people won’t shop around for insurance because they don’t want to change companies they have been with for years. Switching around has never been a problem for me and it is something I do all the time. This has saved me a lot of money. People don’t shop around for insurance because it is too difficult and time-consuming to compare prices and find the best deal. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It is possible. It takes effort and time to save money. Making money takes effort and time. You can save money by shopping around for the best deal if you don’t need it. It’s almost like making money. All you need to do is pick-up the phone and chat.

Online shopping is possible, but I don’t because I don’t like sharing my personal information online. While it might seem safe, I prefer to be conservative.

It was totally worth it to shop around for car insurance. Here’s an example of my auto coverage; I have very high coverage.

I have a van 2000. I typically only have liability for older vehicles. This vehicle is in excellent condition with low mileage. My husband owns a truck for work so I don’t get a multi-car discount.

Here’s what I pay for 21st Century Insurance. I have been with this company for one year.

Bodily Injury…………………………………250000/ 500,000. per person/per accident

Property Damage……………………………100,000 per accident

Medical Expense…………………………….5,000. per person

Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury……..250,000/ 500,000 per person/per accident

Underinsured motorist Bodily Injury….250,000/500,000 per person/accident

Comprehensive deductible…………….$100.

Collision Deductible………………………..$100 & $50.00 towing if needed

Total premium……………………………….$241.00 for 6 months….

My 17-year-old new driver will be added to the policy. The cost will be $661.00. This is an increase of $420.00 per 6 month for the addition of a teenage driver. I was quoted $561.55 by a local insurance company for the same coverage. This is $100.00 per month or $200.00 per annum savings.

After consulting my broker, I was able to get the best deal with Fidelity. They gave me a quote of $463.00 for 6 months with my teen driver. This saved me $400. I saved $400 per year. $198.00 would have been paid if I had kept my original. This is $400.00 per year.

I will pay less with Fidelity than $463.00 because I have my homeowners with me. You can shop around for good deals on auto insurance…
